Manifold Steel – Wall Piece No. 1 is a wall art that is designed to function like a shelf. It serves to get viewers to admire it like a painting but also has a function of a shelf where one can place things on. It is made from sheet metal steel. It carries Zavier's reflection on the impact of social media and technology.

Social Media tends to reduce and oversimplify things. Sheet metal to the artist/maker carries that reductive quality. He wanted to transform what is perceved as a negative quality into something beautiful. While social media oversimplifies human existence, utilising both digital design tools and handcraft, the act of making the pieces seeks to subvert it and turn it into an object that mirrors our human complexities and complex stories. 

Merging digital fabrication techniques and hand craft, pieces of steel were welding together with the aid of a digitally designed structure produced with the support of CMD Lab, digital craft and hand craft come together symbiotically in the making process.
